Job Description

Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a thriving and forward-thinking organisation, currently seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative finance team.This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of management accounts, provide meaningful financial insights to stakeholders, and play a key role in driving the business forward. You’ll be joining a supportive environment that values work-life balance, with flexible hybrid working (typically 1 day in the office, 4 from home).What you’ll be doing

  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
  • Partner with department heads and budget holders to explain financial performance and support decision-making.
  • Review and analyse P&L, providing clear commentary and insights.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, and variance analysis.
  • Produce, develop, and present financial analysis and reports for both operational and strategic purposes.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors during year-end and audit cycles.
  • Mentor and support junior finance team members, helping them develop their skills.

  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Strong management accounts experience and a background in financial analysis.
