Sheridan Maine is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in their search for a Management Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave. This role sits within a high-performing finance team and plays a key part in providing commercial insight, accurate reporting, and real-time analysis to drive decision-making.
What you’ll be doing:
- Producing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Analysing performance to highlight trends, spot opportunities, and challenge costs.
- Supporting the budgeting process and re-forecasting cycles.
- Working closely with stakeholders to provide meaningful insight and commentary.
- Reviewing cost centres, identifying efficiencies, and suggesting improvements.
- Supporting internal audits and ensuring financial compliance.
- Involvement in business planning and helping shape future strategy.
- Developing reporting tools and streamlining financial processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role.
- Comfortable communicating financial info to non-financial people.
- Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
- Analytical, inquisitive and commercially minded.
- A proactive team player who enjoys working across departments.
