Sheridan Maine is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in their search for a Management Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave. This role sits within a high-performing finance team and plays a key part in providing commercial insight, accurate reporting, and real-time analysis to drive decision-making.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Analysing performance to highlight trends, spot opportunities, and challenge costs.
  • Supporting the budgeting process and re-forecasting cycles.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to provide meaningful insight and commentary.
  • Reviewing cost centres, identifying efficiencies, and suggesting improvements.
  • Supporting internal audits and ensuring financial compliance.
  • Involvement in business planning and helping shape future strategy.
  • Developing reporting tools and streamlining financial processes.

What we’re looking for:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Previous experience in a Management Accountant role.
  • Comfortable communicating financial info to non-financial people.
  • Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
  • Analytical, inquisitive and commercially minded.
  • A proactive team player who enjoys working across departments.
