Job Description
Sheridan Maine are proud to be partnering with our established Hampshire based client to recruit a Group Financial Accountant.This 12-month contract will be supporting the finance team during a busy period of growth and will be responsible for a range of activities including consolidations and international reporting.Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role will include:
- Assist with the month end close process; eg reconciliations, journals, review schedules.
- Review balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support year end activities – providing information for audits and assisting with queries.
- Contribute to the preparation and distribution of group management reporting.
- Preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
- Undertake detailed reconciliations.
- Help improve financial processes and controls.
- Interpret financial data and explain variances.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA).
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
- Experienced in group accounting, consolidations and reconciliations.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
- Confident working with large volumes of data.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
