Job Description
- Support the Group Treasurer in shaping and executing the overall treasury strategy.
- Lead daily cash and liquidity management, ensuring efficient utilisation of funds.
- Manage and nurture relationships with banks and financial institutions, including negotiation and compliance with facility agreements.
- Oversee foreign exchange and interest rate risk management, including the development and monitoring of hedging strategies.
- Support debt issuance and refinancing, as well as covenant reporting processes.
- Ensure treasury activities are compliant with internal controls, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as finance, tax, legal, and commercial departments on business initiatives and capital projects.
- Lead, mentor, and support the development of junior treasury team members.
The ideal Deputy Treasurer will have/be:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or ACT-qualified treasury professional.
- Strong experience in a corporate treasury environment or financial institution, ideally within a large or listed company.
- In-depth knowledge of cash management, financial markets, FX and interest rate risk, and banking products.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and senior stakeholders.
- Proficient in treasury systems and financial tools.
