This role offers the chance to lead audit teams, manage complex client portfolios, and drive excellence in audit delivery across diverse sectors.The Role:As Audit Manager, you'll be responsible for managing audit engagements from planning to completion, leading and developing a team, and building strong client relationships. This is a client-facing role with real opportunity to shape how audits are delivered and to contribute to the growth of the firm.Your responsibilities as the Audit Manager will include:
  • Manage a portfolio of audit assignments, ensuring compliance with audit standards and deadlines.
  • Lead planning meetings, set audit scopes and budgets, and coordinate with clients throughout the process.
  • Supervise and review the work of audit seniors and trainees.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing technical insight and adding value.
  • Identify areas for improvement in internal processes and contribute to the firm’s wider growth strategy.
  • Support business development initiatives, including networking and proposal preparation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in an audit-focused role within a UK practice (ideally 2 years+).
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and financial reporting standards.
  • Confident communicator with excellent client relationship skills.
  • Effective team leader with the ability to motivate and develop junior staff.
  • Comfortable using audit and accounting software (e.g. CaseWare, CCH, etc.)
