Sheridan Maine is partnering with a prestigious firm that offers a collaborative, dynamic, and supportive environment for professionals to grow and develop their careers. About the Role:As an Audit and Accounts Senior, you’ll be responsible for managing and overseeing audits and accounts preparation for a varied client base, including small to medium-sized businesses across a range of sectors. You’ll work closely with partners and clients, ensuring that all statutory requirements are met, while providing valuable insights into clients’ financial performance. Your responsibilities as the Audit & Accounts Senior will include:
  • Leading audits from planning to completion for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and FRS102.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and training.
  • Managing client relationships, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Reviewing work papers and ensuring compliance with audit standards.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc advisory projects as required by clients. 

To be considered for the role of Audit & Accounts Senior, you will have/be:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a UK practice (audit and accounts).
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or nearing qualification.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and audit procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues effectively.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A team player who enjoys mentoring junior staff and contributing to team success.
