Sheridan Maine is working with a respected and expanding accountancy practice in Worcestershire to recruit an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio, lead audit engagements, and support the ongoing development of the firm in a professional and supportive environment. Main duties of an Audit and Accounts Manager :
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
- Lead and review audit engagements, ensuring compliance with accounting and auditing standards.
- Supervise the preparation and review of accounts for limited companies, charities, and other entities.
- Support junior staff with technical guidance, mentoring, and development.
- Assist with practice management, including workflow, WIP monitoring, and process improvements.
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships and contribute to business growth initiatives.
Qualifications to succeed in the Audit and Accounts Manager role
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience managing a client portfolio and leading audit assignments.
- Strong technical knowledge in audit, financial reporting, and accounts preparation.
