Sheridan Maine is seeking an Audit and Accounts Senior to join an established and progressive accountancy firm in East Sussex. This is a great opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified professional who enjoys a mixed role and is looking to build long-term client relationships in a supportive environment.
You will manage a portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors and be involved in both audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion.
Key responsibilities:- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Ensure work is completed in line with current accounting and audit standards.
- Review work of junior team members and provide feedback.
- Support partners and managers with ad hoc assignments and projects.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with strong experience.
- Recent experience in a UK practice environment.
- Strong audit and accounting knowledge.
- Minimum of 2 years in any UK accountancy practice.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- A team player with a proactive and professional approach.
- Competitive salary of £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience.
