We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts & Tax Semi Senior to join a top 100 accounting practice based in east London. This is a great opportunity for a practice-experienced candidate looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

You will be responsible for the preparation of accounts, tax returns, and VAT for a range of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. Depending on your experience level, the role can be tailored to include greater autonomy and client responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
  • Complete corporation tax computations and personal tax returns.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Assist with or manage client communications.
  • Support with tax planning and advisory work where required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
  • Supervise and review work of junior team members.
  • Contribute to improving internal processes and efficiencies.
Key Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
  • Part-qualified or qualified AAT / ACA / ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
  • Experience with software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
