Senior Management Accountant in Weymouth

Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a well‑established and rapidly growing organisation based in Weymouth that’s looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and helping to shape the way financial information supports the wider business. You’ll be at the heart of the month‑end process, working closely with senior leadership, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and mentoring a small team of Management Accountants.

As the Management Accountant, you will be:

• Leading on monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Producing insightful variance analysis and commentary to support commercial decisions.
• Working alongside the Senior Accountant to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process across the business.
• Coaching and guiding junior team members to develop their technical and professional skills.
• Taking the lead on process improvements, ensuring reporting is efficient, accurate, and compliant.
• Building strong relationships with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

To be considered for this Management Accountant position, you will be/have:

• Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with a few years’ solid management accounting experience.
• Confident using Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or Netsuite).
• Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities.
• Collaborative, approachable, and proactive.
