Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established accountancy practice in Watford to recruit an experienced Temporary Accountant.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountancy professional looking to join a friendly and supportive team, providing valuable assistance during a busy period.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and will be confident managing a varied portfolio of clients while maintaining a high standard of service.
As a Temporary Accountant, your responsibilities will include
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients.
- Producing management accounts and financial reports.
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with tax compliance.
- Supporting the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide financial support.
- Assisting with bookkeeping and reviewing financial records.
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc accounting duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- AAT qualified, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and UK accounting standards.
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or Quick Books.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and adapt quickly within a new environment.
