This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional to join a prestigious and growing practice, working with a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and family groups.

The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of complex private client matters, providing high-quality compliance and advisory services while developing strong, long-term client relationships.

As Senior Private Client Tax Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth private clients, providing a full range of personal tax services.
  • Overseeing the preparation and review of complex self-assessment tax returns.
  • Providing proactive tax planning advice across areas including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and succession planning.
  • Advising clients on tax-efficient structures and opportunities.
  • Managing HMRC enquiries and correspondence.
  • Building trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value through advisory services.
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing technical guidance and support.
  • Supporting the wider tax team with complex projects and assignments.

The successful candidate will ideally have

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent) with significant private client tax experience.
  • Proven experience gained within a Chartered Accountancy firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation.
  • Experience managing complex private client portfolios, including high-net-worth individuals.
  • A strong understanding of tax planning, trusts, estates and succession matters.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to advise clients confidently.
  • A commercial approach with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver tailored solutions.
