Sheridan Maine is partnering exclusively with a growing, values-driven organisation to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a dynamic finance team, delivering management accounts, analysis, and financial insight that supports profitable growth across the group and its subsidiaries.
Location: Remote – UK-based candidates only (occasional UK travel required)
As Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to help drive the organisation’s growth and commercial performance.
Key responsibilities- Delivering month-end management accounts with full reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting across group, subsidiary, and branch levels
- Preparing consolidated and subsidiary P&Ls, balance sheets, cashflow statements, KPIs, and ad hoc analysis
- Liaising with business stakeholders to interpret financial data and support commercial decision-making
- Maintaining, developing, and optimising the financial reporting platform and its integration with operational systems
- Supporting the annual budget and 5-year forecast updates
- Maintaining finance processes, audit trails, and compliance in line with policies and procedures
- Providing financial insight on business performance metrics including branch profitability, staffing efficiency, and revenue performance
- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Proven experience preparing and analysing management accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate financial insight clearly
- Excellent Excel and financial systems skills (Xero experience highly desirable)
- Ability to work in a fast-changing, entrepreneurial environment and support change programmes
- Strong organisational, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing workloads and delivery deadlines independently
- Self-motivated, proactive, and innovative
