As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day finance function, ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and deadlines are met.
Your key responsibilities as an Accounts Assistant:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Assisting with bank reconciliations
- Managing supplier statements and resolving account queries
- Processing payment runs
- Supporting credit control activities where required
- Posting journals and assisting with month‑end tasks
- Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
- Providing general administrative support to the finance team
The successful Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance support role
- Good working knowledge of purchase and sales ledger processes
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Immediate availability or the ability to start at short notice
