Sheridan Maine is working with a leading professional services company based in Guildford to recruit a Private Client Tax Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist tax team within a large and established organisation, supporting a diverse portfolio of private clients and gaining exposure to high-quality personal tax work.
The Role:
- Assist with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns for a varied private client portfolio
- Support the administration of high-net-worth individuals, expatriates, and internationally mobile clients
- Prepare basic tax computations and supporting schedules
- Assist with HMRC correspondence and client queries
- Support senior tax professionals with compliance and advisory projects
- Ensure personal tax deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
- Maintain and update client records in line with internal processes and compliance standards
About You:
- Experience within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment
- Strong interest in private client and personal tax services
- Good understanding of self-assessment tax returns
- AAT qualified, studying ATT/ACA/ACCA, or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
