Sheridan Maine is pleased to be partnering with a hospitality organisation to recruit a Finance Assistant, based in Central London, offering a hybrid working pattern of 2–3 days in the office. This role would suit a highly organised, detail-driven Finance Assistant who enjoys supporting transactional finance and operational reporting within a structured head office finance function, supporting a growing hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice processing, customer invoicing, reconciliations and payment runs.
  • Assisting with credit control and resolving supplier and customer queries.
  • Completing bank and expense reconciliations to ensure accurate cash reporting.
  • Providing operational finance support, including commission calculations and payment processing.
  • Assisting with month-end and audit preparation, including basic balance sheet reconciliations and documentation.
  • Supporting improvements to finance systems and processes, alongside general finance administration and ad hoc projects.

The successful Finance Assistant will possess

  • Experience in a finance support role, covering AP, AR and banking.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience working within multi-entity structures.
  • Confidence using Excel and finance systems.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently when required.
