Sheridan Maine is working with a well-established accountancy practice based near Chelmsford who are looking to appoint a Tax Junior / Bookkeeping Assistant to join their growing team. As the Tax Junior / Bookkeeping Assistant, you will support the wider accounting team with a mix of tax and bookkeeping duties, including:

  • Assisting with the preparation of personal tax returns
  • Supporting the preparation of VAT returns
  • Carrying out day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a range of clients
  • Processing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance

  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date client records
