This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional to join a forward–thinking firm that provides a wide range of accounting, tax and advisory services to individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners and privately owned businesses.
As Senior Personal Tax Manager, you will play a key role in managing a varied portfolio of private clients, delivering expert tax compliance and advisory support while building strong, trusted relationships.
As Senior Personal Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high–net–worth individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of complex self–assessment tax returns.
- Providing proactive personal tax advice across areas including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax and tax planning.
- Advising clients on tax–efficient strategies and identifying opportunities to add value.
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser on personal tax matters.
- Handling HMRC correspondence, enquiries and investigations.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing technical guidance.
- Supporting the wider tax team with advisory projects and complex client matters.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and industry developments.
The successful Personal Tax Manager will ideally have
- CTA qualified, or equivalent personal tax experience.
- Significant experience working within a personal tax role in an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
- Experience managing a portfolio of complex private clients.
- A good understanding of tax planning opportunities for individuals, entrepreneurs and business owners.
- Excellent communication and relationship–building skills.
- A proactive and commercial approach with the ability to provide practical, client–focused advice.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
