This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced personal tax professional to join a supportive and growing firm, managing a diverse portfolio of private clients and providing high–quality compliance and advisory services.
Working closely with individuals, business owners and entrepreneurs, you will play an important role in delivering proactive tax advice, building strong client relationships and supporting clients with their personal tax requirements.
As Personal Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including high–net–worth individuals, directors and business owners.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of self–assessment tax returns.
- Providing personal tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base.
- Advising clients on tax planning opportunities, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax matters.
- Managing HMRC correspondence, enquiries and tax–related queries.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team and providing technical support.
- Assisting with ad hoc tax advisory projects and client matters.
- Ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a high standard of client service.
The successful Personal Tax Manager will ideally have
- Previous experience managing personal tax clients within an accounting practice.
- CTA qualified, ATT qualified, or qualified by experience with strong personal tax knowledge.
- Good technical understanding of UK personal tax legislation.
- Experience handling a portfolio of private clients.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to communicate confidently with clients and provide clear, practical advice.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify tax planning opportunities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
