Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, credit control support, and aged debtor reporting.
- Handle accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, payment runs, and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Support payroll processing on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy of employee payments and data maintenance.
- Assist with statutory payroll requirements including PAYE, NI, pensions, and year-end reporting.
- Support month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts, including bank, sales, and purchase ledgers.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure strong audit trails are in place.
- Support VAT returns and ensure correct tax treatment of transactions.
- Assist with the use and maintenance of finance systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Support internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve financial queries and support business operations.
- Provide ad-hoc financial information and reporting to support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- AAT qualified (or working towards) or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in a finance or accounting role with exposure to transactional finance.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes including AP, AR and reconciliations.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, adaptable and willing to support a busy finance team.
