Sheridan Maine is recruiting on behalf of an established accountancy practice in North London for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys working closely with clients and is looking for a role offering responsibility, variety and the opportunity to build strong client relationships.
The Role
Working with a diverse portfolio of clients, you will take responsibility for delivering a range of accounting and advisory services while acting as a key point of contact for your clients.
Your responsibilities as the Senior Accountant / Client Manager, will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients, building strong and trusted relationships
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and management accounts
- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and financial queries
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues
- Liaising with HMRC and other relevant bodies when required
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and support to clients
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
About You
We are looking for someone with solid experience within an accountancy practice who is confident managing client relationships and working across a varied portfolio.
To succeed in the role of Senior Accountant / Client Manager, you will ideally xgikmsk have:
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice
- Strong accounts preparation experience
- Ideally AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified
- Experience with corporation and/or personal tax
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
- Experience supporting or reviewing the work of more junior colleagues
