The Role
Working closely with senior management, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of outsourcing clients while supporting the development of junior team members and helping to drive efficiency across the department. This position would suit an experienced Senior Accountant looking to step into management or an existing Assistant Manager seeking a fresh challenge within a progressive and people‑focused practice.
Key Responsibilities of the Outsourcing Assistant Manager:
- Managing a portfolio of outsourcing clients across a range of sectors
- Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping records
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts
- Supporting the management of workflow and client delivery within the outsourcing team
- Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to junior colleagues
- Assisting with process improvements and ensuring high standards of client service
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
To be considered for this Outsourcing Assistant Manager position, you will have:
- Previous experience within an outsourcing or accounts role in practice
- Strong knowledge of cloud accounting software, including Xero and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
