Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and forward-thinking chartered accountancy firm based in Northwest London to recruit a Senior Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio within a firm known for delivering high-quality, commercially focused financial solutions to UK and international clients.
The role involves reporting directly to the Partners, playing a key role in managing client relationships and overseeing the delivery of accounts and advisory services. The position offers a strong balance of technical work, client engagement and team oversight.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Accounts Manager will include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of corporate and owner-managed business clients.
- Reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts and tax computations.
- Acting as a trusted adviser to clients, providing practical and strategic guidance.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
- Liaising with Partners on workflow planning and client service delivery.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and to agreed deadlines.
The ideal Senior Accounts Manager will be:
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a UK accountancy practice at Manager or Senior Manager level.
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax.
- Confident managing client relationships and providing commercial insight.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
