Central London | Hybrid - (3 days office-based)

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established organisation based in Central London, who are seeking an experienced Head of Statutory Reporting & Audit to join their finance function on a 16-month contract. This is a key role responsible for overseeing statutory reporting, audit processes and regulatory compliance, while providing leadership and support to the wider finance team.

Responsibilities of the Head of Statutory Reporting & Audit:

  • Lead the preparation and review of statutory accounts and manage the external audit process
  • Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting and compliance submissions
  • Maintain strong financial controls and support continuous improvements to processes and procedures
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and stay up to date with relevant reporting standards and legislation
  • Oversee tax-related reporting requirements, including VAT and corporation tax compliance
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors and external advisors
  • Lead, support and develop members of the finance team

The successful Head of Statutory Reporting & Audit will have:

  • Strong experience in statutory reporting, audit management and financial controls
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts and working with regulatory requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS (US GAAP experience would be advantageous)
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Previous team management experience
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
