Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a successful international business based in Central London who are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to join a dynamic organisation offering strong career development, study support and exposure across multiple entities within a fast-paced commercial environment.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, month-end processes, reconciliations and compliance activities across the group.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:- Managing fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure reporting
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining control accounts
- Supporting payroll processing and reporting activities
- Assisting with VAT returns and statutory reporting requirements
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
- Supporting year-end and interim audit processes
- Collaborating with operational teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assisting with financial statements and wider finance projects
- Supporting continuous improvement within finance processes and controls
- Previous experience within a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA
