About the Role
Sheridan Maine is excited to be supporting a highly respected and growing business as they continue to scale. They are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join the leadership team. This is a key role within the finance function, a mix of strategic partnership and hands-on delivery, and an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to progress toward Finance Director level. This role will be based in their Poole office 5 days a week.
What You’ll Do
- Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance operation and play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy.
- Ensure accurate reporting and compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support growth initiatives.
- Lead, mentor and develop a small but capable finance team.
- Deliver timely and accurate management reporting and performance analysis.
- Oversee financial controls, audit, tax and statutory reporting.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle and provide strategic insight to the leadership team.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to inform commercial decisions.
- Drive process and systems improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
- Work alongside Treasury and other teams on cashflow management and funding requirements.
- Act as a key deputy to the Finance Director, gaining exposure to investor relations and strategic projects.
What You’ll Bring
