Job Title: Audit & Accounts Senior

Location: Ingatestone, Essex

Salary: £45,000 per annum

The Role

They are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their growing team. The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading audits, preparing statutory accounts, and supporting junior team members, while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion for a range of clients, including supervision of on-site teams.
  • Preparing statutory financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients across varied sectors.
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients during assignments, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly.
  • Supporting partners with ad-hoc advisory work and special projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with audit, accounts, and tax regulations.

About You

  • ACA/ACCA qualified, or finalist with strong experience or potentially QBE.
  • Proven experience in audit and accounts preparation within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and client relationship management.
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
