The Client:
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Central London. They provide a full suite of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate entities. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team and play a key role in managing and expanding the firm’s tax services.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing the firm’s tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base.
- Providing expert tax planning and advisory services to clients, including corporate and personal tax matters.
- Reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Identifying tax-saving opportunities and advising clients accordingly.
- Supporting clients with HMRC investigations and queries.
- Managing and mentoring a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensuring the firm’s compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with business development activities, including identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposals.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, and HMRC representatives.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice.
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation, including corporate and personal tax.
- Proven experience in tax advisory and planning.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
