Interim Senior Accountant/Analyst in London

We’re seeking a skilled Senior Accountant/Analyst to play a pivotal role for our international media client. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to contribute to a collaborative global finance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee critical aspects of the monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring deadlines are met and reporting is accurate
• Review and validate reconciliations for various subsidiaries, including fixed assets and accounts receivable, confirming balances align with the general ledger
• Prepare and assess journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated variance analyses across multiple entities
• Analyse expense accounts in detail and work closely with regional finance teams to ensure proper classifications, accruals, and compliance with accounting standards
• Provide support during external audits, particularly around balance sheet items and selected operating expenses
• Investigate ERP data to resolve issues, highlight discrepancies, and enhance visibility of financial information

About You

• Solid experience working within multinational organizations and handling multi-currency environments
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Background that blends public accounting with industry experience, or direct exposure to advising listed companies
• Confident working independently while managing competing priorities under tight deadlines
• Clear communicator who collaborates effectively with cross-functional and international teams
• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulas such as INDEX MATCH, XLOOKUP, and nested logic functions
• Previous exposure to ERP and financial consolidation tools is highly valued
