Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a reputable UK accountancy firm that is seeking an Audit Senior to join its welcoming and professional Chelmsford office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to take the next step in their career within a supportive and growing practice environment.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you will take a lead role in delivering high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse client portfolio, while supporting the development of junior team members and ensuring exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities of the Audit Senior:
- Plan, lead, and complete audits from planning to completion, in line with regulatory requirements.
- Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and building trust.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and feedback throughout assignments.
- Get involved in advisory assignments – from business planning to risk management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Work closely with managers and partners to deliver an efficient and effective service to clients.
To be considered for the role of Audit Senior, you will be:
- ACA/ACCA/CA qualified/newly qualified or QBE with strong audit experience within an accountancy practice.
- Proven track record in leading audits for a variety of clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and commercially aware, with a curiosity to understand clients’ businesses.
