The Sheridan Group is recruiting a Group Health, Safety, Compliance & HR Manager to take ownership of Health & Safety, statutory compliance, and HR operations across a growing, multi-sector group. This is a senior, hands-on role covering construction sites, FM contracts, waste operations, depots, and office environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Health & Safety across all Group businesses
- Site inspections, audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and RAMS
- Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation and CDM Regulations
- Manage statutory compliance, licences, and permits
- Oversee HR compliance: contracts, policies, onboarding, RTW checks
- Support disciplinary, grievance, and absence processes
- Liaise with auditors, regulators, and enforcement bodies
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in Health & Safety and HR compliance
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S and employment legislation
- Background in construction, FM, waste, or regulated environments
- Confident, organised, and comfortable enforcing standards
