We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Water Engineer (Team Leader/Ganger and Labourers) to join our friendly, hardworking, and growing team.

Your Role:
As a Team Leader/Ganger, you will take charge of a small crew, delivering key water utility projects including:
- Repair and maintenance works
- Mains laying and installations
- Private water services and connections
You’ll be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, while maintaining respectful communication with customers and the public.
Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Water Hygiene Card
- Street Works Certification (NRSWA) - Team Leader only but beneficial for Operative
As an Operative/Labourer, your roles will include assisting the Team Leader, keeping the van and site clean and tidy, learning the basics from your Team Leader to allow progression in the job, and learning to drive the van and manoeuvre the trailer.
We also require experience or certification in some or all of the following (the more you have, the better your rate of pay):
- Cat & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool)
- First Aid at Work
- Manual Handling
- Abrasive Wheel
- Excavator and Dumper (CPCS/NPORS)
- Lifting Operations
- Vehicle Marshal / Banksman
Desirable:
- Experience in team leadership roles within the water/utilities sector
- Familiarity with the local Dorset/Somerset and Wiltshire area
- Flexibility to handle occasional emergency jobs or weekend work
- Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to safety and professionalism
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00
Overtime available
Occasional weekend work (as required)
