I am currently recruiting for a CNC Operator / Setter to join a growing and well-established manufacturing business in Northern Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment, supporting the production of high-quality components across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, investment, and new project wins, my client is looking to expand its machining team with individuals who take pride in quality and precision.

The Role:

  • You will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision components to exact specifications.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Inspecting components using precision measuring equipment.
  • Ensuring all parts meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Deburring and finishing components as required.
  • Completing all relevant job documentation.
  • Performing routine machine maintenance.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
  • Working with minimal supervision and supporting other departments when needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in CNC setting and/or operation (milling or turning).
  • Understanding of CNC methods and basic programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability.
