I am currently recruiting for Graduate Methods Engineers to join a world class team for my highly successful client.

You will get to work alongside experienced engineers to help develop and improve manufacturing processes across our production facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to build your engineering knowledge while gaining hands-on experience in process improvement, new technology implementation, and continuous improvement projects within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the investigation, evaluation, and introduction of new manufacturing methods, technologies, and equipment to support current and future production requirements.
  • Support projects that improve manufacturing processes by increasing productivity, enhancing product quality, reducing waste, and improving overall efficiency.
  • Gather and analyse process data to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development of practical engineering solutions.
  • Help review existing manufacturing methods and compare them with best practice across the business and wider industry.
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures to support manufacturing activities.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of operator training when new processes, equipment, or manufacturing methods are introduced.
  • Work closely with colleagues from Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other technical teams to support the successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams across the wider business to share knowledge, learn best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the monitoring and evaluation of implemented improvements, helping to identify further opportunities to enhance safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

The successful candidate will have

  • A degree, or be on track to graduate by Summer 2026, in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A genuine interest in manufacturing, process improvement, and engineering innovation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and develop practical solutions.
  • Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with people across different departments.
  • A proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience of manufacturing through an industrial placement, internship, university project, or part-time engineering role.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, or production environments.
  • Experience of using engineering software or data analysis tools.
