At Sherborne Schools Group, we are looking for a warm, caring and highly organised Matron to join our boarding team at Digby House. This is a rewarding and varied role at the heart of boarding life, where you will play a key part in supporting the welfare, wellbeing and happiness of our pupils. As a trusted adult and familiar presence within the House, you will provide pastoral, practical and medical support, helping to create a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment in which every pupil can thrive.
Working closely with the Housemaster, Assistant Matrons, Health Centre staff and the wider boarding team, you will be involved in all aspects of boarding house life, from supporting pupils with day-to-day routines and wellbeing, to liaising with parents, overseeing domestic arrangements and ensuring the smooth running of the House. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, has a genuine commitment to supporting young people, and takes pride in creating a home-from-home environment for boarders.
