We are looking for an inspiring Head of Outdoor Education to organise and support the delivery of the School's Outdoor Education provision, working closely with colleagues and counterparts across SSG.

This role is ideal for someone who believes deeply in the role outdoor education can play in developing character, and who brings together a love of the outdoors, adventurous activities, and youth development with the warmth, empathy, and leadership needed to engage and motivate teenagers. You will be a positive role model, able to build excellent rapport with young people from all backgrounds and of all abilities, encouraging them to step beyond their comfort zones, grow in self-belief, and discover what they are capable of.

The successful candidate will plan, organise, and lead safe, purposeful, and rewarding outdoor experiences that explicitly develop pupils' character and create lasting positive memories. Above all, we are seeking someone who understands that outdoor education is about far more than activity alone; it is about nurturing resilience, confidence, teamwork, independence, and a lifelong sense of possibility.
