Sherborne Girls is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish to teach across the full age range, from Year 7 to A Level. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful Languages Department and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE, A Level and DELE. The successful candidate will be committed to providing an engaging and stimulating learning environment, supporting pupils of all abilities, and encouraging a passion for languages both within and beyond the classroom.
As a full boarding school, Sherborne Girls offers a vibrant and rewarding educational environment in which staff make a significant contribution to both the academic and pastoral life of the school. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will act as a tutor, contribute to the co-curricular programme, and support the boarding community through evening and weekend duties. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and pupil welfare, while fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. There may also be an opportunity for the successful candidate to occupy residential accommodation within a boarding house, subject to undertaking associated boarding duties.
While the primary place of work will be Sherborne Girls School, the successful candidate will also contribute to and support initiatives across the wider Sherborne Schools Group. From time to time, they may be required to work at other schools or sites within the Group to meet business needs. Reporting to the Head of Languages, the postholder will play an important role in supporting the ongoing success of the school and the continued development of the Group as a whole.
The position may be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis.
