The Menu, cooked to perfection by our Executive Chef Javiniar and his team, is made with fresh and flavourful locally sourced products. We are looking for truly passionate candidates who will be willing to learn and assist in all aspects of kitchen work. Successful candidates will learn preparation and service of hot and cold dishes and be responsible for the section during the service.
Essential functions of the role will include:
- Demonstrate initiative at all times
- Support the team
- Produce own work in accordance with deadlines and quality guidelines
- Seek own solutions to the minor obstacles that occur from time to time
- Project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
- To be aware of all Health, Safety and Fire regulations and to abide by their terms
- To maintain high standards of personal hygiene at all times
- To demonstrate proper and safe usage of all kitchen equipment
They will have a strong desire to improve on skills and knowledge. Must be a team player and able to work varying shifts. Ideally you will hold, or be working towards, a recognised culinary qualification (Advantageous if candidate is trained to NVQ level 2/3 – professional cookery). Some previous experience in a high quality kitchen environment is beneficial; however, a comprehensive training program will be provided to the successful candidate.
