Position Summary
The Canteen Attendant supports the kitchen team in providing high-quality food and beverage service within the associates restaurant. This role is responsible for maintaining food presentation, cleanliness, and excellent internal customer service while creating a welcoming environment for hotel associates.
What You'll Do
- Provide food and beverages in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner.
- Prepare salad bars, beverage stations, and other food service items for meal periods.
- Present food in an attractive and appetizing manner.
- Clean tables, equipment, floors, and dining areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure an adequate supply of quality food.
- Resolve associate concerns or escape them to the senior kitchen team when required.
- Deliver excellent internal customer service to all associates.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional dining environment.
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a food and beverage environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and service excellence.
- Positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop hospitality skills.
- Ability to use initiative and solve day-to-day operational challenges.
