Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an In Room Dining Server to join our F&B Team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa, working 32 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The role involves delivering an excellent food and beverage experience, ensuring guest satisfaction, and working across In Room Dining and occasionally the Club Lounge. The Server will develop relationships with regular hotel guests and support strategic departmental goals in line with departmental SOPs.

Essential Functions

  • Provide excellent guest service by discovering all guests’ needs and acting on them promptly, effectively and with confidence.
  • Prepare beverages that exceed customer expectations at a speed that meets client demands.
  • Prepare beverages in an efficient, hygienic, and systematic manner, ensuring continual cleanliness.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with the floor team to ensure seamless transfer of information for effective floor service.
  • Be fully conversant with all IRD and Club Lounge policies and procedures.
  • Offer a warm, welcoming experience for guests, evidenced by personal service and a clean, tidy bar area.
  • Stay current with beverage trends to keep the IRD and Club Lounge ahead of or at least on trend.
  • Maintain strong liaison and communication with other Food & Beverage team members, the Kitchen, and Front Office.

Requirements

  • Food & Beverage Service experience required.
  • Previous experience in a client‑facing role within a luxury five‑star environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours.
  • Ability to memorize regular guests on sight.
  • Thorough knowledge of wines, spirits, and coffee preparation.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
  • Excellent, instinctive customer service skills and ability to interact with guests from all backgrounds and cultures.
