After School Club Assistant
We are seeking to recruit an After School Club Assistant to work at Sherard Primary School, starting as soon as possible. The role works 3:30 pm‑5:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for 4 hours 30 minutes per week (term time only, 38 weeks) on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Support the Headteacher and staff in all aspects of running the after‑school club.
- Ensure children are eating, playing and learning in a safe, friendly environment.
- Assist with behaviour management and uphold child protection policies.
- Prepare materials and set up activities as required.
- Work as part of a team and remain flexible to changing needs.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a similar role.
- Knowledge of key policies such as Child Protection and Behaviour Management.
- Strong interpersonal, caring and respectful approach towards pupils.
- Good IT skills and ability to prepare lesson materials.
- Organised, creative and able to work flexibly within a team.

- Annual salary: £2,515.71 – £2,535.49 (full‑time equivalent £24,804 – £24,999).
