Sheppard Robson is recruiting a Specification Writer to join its team in London. The practice is looking for a communicative and technical individual who will act as a focus for specification writing and cladding expertise, coordinate in-house training in specification writing, and prepare and maintain SR bespoke guidance notes within NBS Chorus software. The role will also include managing the interface between NBS Chorus platform and BIM modelling software. This person will report to the technical director. The role is preferably located in London.
Key tasks:
- Creating and maintaining SR bespoke clauses and guidance notes within NBS Chorus software platform
- Writing and reviewing specifications to ensure a high standard across the practice
- Integrating with all technical directives, including Design Delivery Group (DDG) initiatives and presentations
- Providing technical support to staff across all grades and disciplines
- Preparing and presenting in-house training seminars on specification writing and the use of NBS Chorus software
Skills and experience:
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Specification Writer
- Solid background in the architectural sector, with experience creating NBS documents and construction details
- Strong technical skills and excellent understanding of UK building regulations
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Expert knowledge of NBS Chorus software
