Well-established UK manufacturer supplying high-quality bricks and building materials requires an Area Sales Manager. We are looking for a commercially driven Area Sales Manager to support and grow sales into regional house builders, groundworkers and merchants.
What you will do:
- Take ownership of defined UK territory (London or Kent).
- Manage existing accounts while developing new business with builders merchants, groundworkers and regional house builders.
- Plan and execute territory sales journeys - using CRM (Salesforce) to prepare for client meetings, document visits, track pipeline, and follow up.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Travel regularly within territory (14-15 days/month on the road; plus additional time for prospecting, admin, and pipeline management).
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure delivery, supply, and client satisfaction.
What we are looking for:
You are a motivated, resilient sales professional with a demonstrated ability to succeed in sales and manage a territory. Experience selling into house builders is very much preferred but other comparable experience will be considered. B2B experience preferred but strong B2C experience also accepted.
- At least 1-2 years’ experience selling directly into house builders (or similar construction/building sector clients).
- 1-2 years’ experience in territory/area management, journey planning, account management and closing deals.
- Strong CRM discipline (ideally Salesforce) - used habitually before, during and after client meetings for planning and pipeline documentation.
- Strong people-skills, resilience, and a target-driven, results-oriented approach.
We don’t require prior brick/masonry product experience, or deep merchant-industry knowledge - we’ll provide product training in-house.
Why join us:
- Work with a company on an upward trajectory.
- Own and grow your own territory with real autonomy and clear commercial opportunity.
- Competitive base salary, performance-based bonus, company car (or allowance), pension and healthcare benefits.
- Environmentally conscious employer: hybrid/EV vehicles & charging points at all factories/offices.
- Clear and transparent path to grow with a business prioritising long-term relationships, planning, and controlled growth.
