We're looking for a warm, commercially minded Showroom Sales Consultant to join a well-established and growing retailer in Huntingdon, a role where your sales ability genuinely improves people's lives every single day.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Welcoming customers into the showroom and delivering a consultative, tailored sales experience from first enquiry through to closing the sale.
  • Building genuine rapport with customers, understanding their individual needs and recommending the right solution with confidence.
  • Supporting the Showroom Manager with day-to-day operations and team coordination.
  • Handling in-store and telephone enquiries with warmth, expertise, and professionalism.
  • Maintaining a well-presented, fully stocked showroom that reflects the quality of the products on offer.
  • Managing sales transactions, stock control, and repairs administration.
  • Processing online orders, printing shipping labels, and preparing parcels for despatch.
  • Contributing to local marketing initiatives and promotional events.
  • Assisting with deliveries and some moderate lifting.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a higher-ticket retail or showroom sales environment (furniture, mobility, healthcare, or similarly considered-purchase sectors ideally).
  • A confident closer who understands the consultative sales process and can guide a customer naturally from interest through to purchase.
  • A natural, empathetic communicator who builds trust quickly, particularly important when customers are making significant or life-changing purchasing decisions.
  • Patient and confident supporting customers with varying needs, including older customers and those with mobility or health considerations.
  • Well organised, proactive, and hands-on with a genuine can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable using everyday IT and point-of-sale systems.
  • Physically active and a genuine team player.

The Details

  • Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per year.
  • Hours: 35 hours p/w, 10am - 5pm, 5 days per week, including alternate Saturdays (with a weekday off in lieu).
  • Full product and systems training provided over a structured 36 month period.
