Our well-established client is currently seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join their team. This is a hands-on and diverse role involving the manufacture of various food processing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set, and operate CNC machining centres using Heidenhain
- Work primarily with stainless steel materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Use appropriate measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Understand and work within specified tolerances, performing self-checks on completed work.
- Collaborate with the shop floor team to ensure smooth workflow and support activities relating to Health & Safety, Production, Inspection, and Discipline.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with CNC Milling and Heidenhain controls.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and production standards.
- City & Guilds qualifications or an Apprenticeship in Engineering would be advantageous.
Working Hours:
- 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Morning break: 10:00am – 10:10am
- Lunch break: 1:00pm – 1:30pm
A reasonable amount of overtime is expected to meet production requirements.
