We're recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing, ambitious business that is expanding its field sales team. They’re looking for two motivated Business Development Managers to take ownership of their own territories and build new business relationships across the SME market.

This is a field-based role with areas such as Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire available. You’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities across your designated territory, managing your own diary, and building long-term relationships with local businesses. Applicants should be comfortable travelling throughout their allocated area and hold a full UK driving licence.

The Role

This is a proactive field sales position where you’ll spend your time meeting business owners, identifying opportunities and generating new customers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting new business through cold calling and door-to-door activity
  • Attending pre-booked appointments
  • Selling market-leading payment and card terminal solutions to SMEs
  • Building long-term relationships with business owners
  • Managing your own territory and sales pipeline
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys being out in the field, is confident speaking with new people and isn’t afraid of hearing the word “no.” Ideally you’ll have:

  • Experience in field sales, B2B sales, direct sales or business development
  • A proactive, resilient and target-driven attitude
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • The confidence to approach new customers
  • A full UK driving licence
