We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Senior Management Team and take ownership of the company’s finance function. This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, managing cashflow and forecasting, and providing financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
The successful candidate will also lead a small finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day processing across accounts payable, receivable, and purchasing activities while driving continuous improvement within finance operations.
Key Responsibilities- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial analysis
- Manage cashflow, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Provide financial reporting and commercial insight to support business performance
- Lead, support, and develop the Finance Team
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements
- Contribute to strategic planning and performance monitoring as part of the Senior Management Team
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
- ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience within an SME or fast-paced operational environment
- Proven experience managing a small finance team
- Strong hands-on experience producing management accounts and managing cashflow
- Sage experience essential; Sage Intacct experience advantageous
- Knowledge of invoice finance or factoring beneficial but not essential
- Commercially aware, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong communication skills
