The role: Web Application Developer is required to design, develop, test and support (primarily) web-based enterprise software, written in C#. Reporting to the Development Team Leader you will analyse requirements, specify systems, features and processes as well as develop new features for existing systems or develop entirely new systems (usually in C# but possibly F#). Additionally, you will write unit/integration/scenario tests for code (typically test-driven development) and reports and queries against SQL databases as well as ensuring software is packaged and delivered correctly.
The requirements:
- Possessing a 2;i or First Degree from a leading University (ideally Top 30 and not outside Top 50) preferably in a science/engineering/numerate discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on C# development or other open-source software development which could have been obtained during university studies or your personal time.
- Experience of working on a website with SQL databases as backend.
- Experience of other web application frameworks such as ASP.Net MVC or Ruby on Rails would be useful.
- Unit/integration/system testing experience.
- Any experience of F#, JavaScript, Message Queuing, Service Oriented Architecture or Micro Services would be advantageous.
