Visitor Centre Assistant – Welcome with a Smile!

Do you have a few hours to spare each week? Looking for a role that’s fun, flexible, and rewarding?

We’re on the lookout for Visitor Centre Assistants with bundles of energy and enthusiasm to join our team in Faversham.

This is a varied role where you’ll help deliver unforgettable experiences at weddings, parties, concerts, and more in our unique venue.

If you’re friendly, adaptable, and confident, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Hours will vary week to week and will include days, evenings and weekends, so flexibility is key.

Please note: evening shifts can finish at midnight or occasionally as late as 1:00 am.

Welcome Customers to the Home of Britain’s Oldest Brewer!

Our Visitor Centre in Faversham, Kent is where the story of Shepherd Neame comes to life.

From guided tours through our historic brewery to tastings of our award-winning beers, this is the place where heritage meets hospitality.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals who love creating memorable experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare the Visitor Centre and Old Brewery Store bars according to event requirements.
  • Operate tills accurately and serve drinks in line with best practice.
  • Close down the Visitor Centre and bar following checklists.
  • Assist with functions and wait on guests during events.
  • Set up function rooms, including furniture layout, screens, display boards, and equipment.
  • Clear and store catering and display equipment after use, washing items if required.
  • Occasionally assist at outside events.
  • Maintain public and work areas in a clean and tidy state, disposing of waste correctly.
  • Comply with Health & Safety rules and legislation at all times.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Visitor Centre Manager or senior team.
