As an Assistant Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the General Manager to run the pub efficiently, lead the team, and deliver outstanding hospitality. Set in the picturesque coastal town of Deal, Kent, the Royal Hotel is the perfect destination for a seaside escape. The hotel has 18 luxurious bedrooms to choose from, several with balconies overlooking the sea. Guests can dine in the hotel’s Quarterdeck restaurant or the relaxed surroundings of the Boathouse bar which has a terrace and garden area offering glorious sea views.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations, including opening and closing duties.
  • Lead and motivate the team to deliver exceptional service and uphold company standards.
  • Assist with staff training, development, and performance management.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute ideas to improve service and business performance.
